Falkner Park puts on great show under first year park director

Children yelling, running and screaming with laughter. Huge smiles on everyones face. Parents watching this unfold, content in the celebration unfolding before them.

Sno-cones from the Falkner Football team and head coach Quess Hood. BBQ nachos Great looking artwork being sold to promote the Falkner Heritage Museum.

There was more than a little something for everyone, with music from a local DJ and a fireworks show to end the night.

“This is my first year so I really didn’t know what to expect,” Park director Ray Keenum told us. “But this is a bigger turnout than we expected.”

The turnout, with over 100 children enjoying water slides and bounce houses, was a great sign of the spirit of community Falkner is trying to build.

If the first year is any indication, that tradition is going to grow.
