Possibility of damaging winds, hail as NWS issues severe weather watch

The national weather service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until midnight on Monday. Numerous north Mississippi counties are in this path.

There is a possibility for damaging wind, lightning, hail and large amounts of rain.

The counties affected are:

CHICKASAW DESOTO ITAWAMBA

LAFAYETTE LEE MARSHALL

MONROE PANOLA PONTOTOC

PRENTISS QUITMAN TALLAHATCHIE

TATE TIPPAH TISHOMINGO
