PSC charges three telemartketing companies with fines totaling $450,000

Mississippi Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley announced Wednesday that the PSC has charged three companies under the Mississippi No Call law. The companies were doing business in Mississippi.

 

According to Presley:

Today, we charged 3 additional predatory telemarketers with invading Mississippians’ privacy by violating the No-Call law. If convicted, they face up to $450,000 in fines. Please help us catch these criminals. I ask the public to continue to report these calls to our office at 1-800-637-7722. Great job by PSC investigators!l and our new prosecutor Megan Bennett!

The three companies charged were Helios Media, Prospects DM, Inc and Good Life USA. They are subject to $5000 per call fines if found in violation.
