Tippah organizations receivng large payday for picking up 15 tons of trash

Organizations in Tippah County that took part in the Tippah Trash Off are set for a big payday.

The groups will be splitting over $14,000.

Congratulations to all the participants in the Tippah Trash Off 2019. A total of 21 groups will be receiving a total of $14,137.20 from our wonderful sponsors of the event. This is the largest amount ever paid and is 23.2% more than last year. 6 Р30 yard dumpsters were filled with 1,446 bags of trash with an estimated weight of 15 tons. Recycling included the collection of 1,404 pounds of aluminum cans which was up 71.6% from last year. The total your group will be receiving is posted in the attached picture. We are in the process of collecting all sponsor payments and when received the checks will be available for the groups. Thanks to everyone for all the hard work.
