Severe weather with large hail, damaging wind and tornadoes possible over weekend

A severe weather outbreak is possible across all of Mississippi over the weekend, according to the NWS and MEMA.

MEMA issued the following:

Most of the state is now facing an ENHANCED risk for severe storms, damaging winds, tornadoes, and large hail beginning Friday night into Saturday.

We will continue to provide more updates as we get closer to the weekend.

Several events throughout Mississippi have been postponed or cancelled due to the storm possibility.

We will update as and further warnings come across.
