17-year-old charged with murder in fatal Jackson gas station shooting
Jackson police said a 17-year-old was arrested and charged with murder in a fatal shooting at a gas station two days earlier.
Police identified the suspect as Siyaski Crawford and said the arrest occurred April 12. The shooting happened just before 8 p.m. on April 10 in the 500 block of Cooper Road, police said.
Police said the shooting killed one person and identified the victim as Leonard Banks.
The Jackson Police Department said the investigation is ongoing and did not release additional details. Officials asked anyone with information to contact police, the department said.
