JXN Food & Wine Festival returns to Jackson with celebrity chefs

The JXN Food & Wine Festival will return to Jackson, Mississippi, March 20-22 in the Art Garden at the Mississippi Museum of Art, organizers said. The three-day event will feature celebrity chefs, tastings and live entertainment.

The weekend opens with a Friday night dinner at 7 p.m. at the Mississippi Children’s Museum. Organizers said Chef Chair Nick Wallace and other feature chefs will present a multi-course dining experience paired with wine.

Organizers said featured chefs include James Beard Award semifinalists Hunter Evans of Jackson’s Elvie’s and Austin Sumrall of Biloxi’s White Pillars, along with culinary talent from across Mississippi and the country.

Saturday and Sunday will include the festival’s signature tasting experiences, with samples from more than 25 chefs, wine and craft beverage tastings, cooking demonstrations and live music, organizers said. They said the event aims to highlight Jackson’s diverse culinary scene and celebrate Southern food culture.

Organizers said VIP and general admission tickets are available and that all attendees must present a mobile or printed pass for entry. A portion of proceeds will support the Mississippi Restaurant Association Foundation’s scholarship programs. The annual event is presented in partnership with Visit Jackson and The Local Palate, organizers said.
