Man killed in South Jackson shooting, police say

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — A man was killed April 11, 2026, in a shooting on Branch Street in South Jackson, Jackson police said.

Jackson police said they have not identified the victim.

Police said a suspect was taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing, Jackson police said.
