Miss. mother to appear in court after daughter’s remains found in closet

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — A mother accused of hiding the remains of her special-needs daughter in a closet will be in court Wednesday as law enforcement determines whether she will face additional charges, a family member said.

WREG reported the body of 20-year-old MyKyra Clemons has been sent to state authorities, the station said.

The family member told WREG the daughter had special needs and that the mother is accused of concealing the remains in a closet, the station reported.

The mother is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday as investigators continue to review the case, the family member said.
