Lakesha Newsom died while hospitalized Friday morning after a dog attack earlier this month, the Holly Springs Police Department and the coroner’s office said.
On March 3, Newsom was attacked by dogs while walking on Highway 178 in Holly Springs, the police department said.
Newsom was a mother of three, the police department and the coroner’s office said.
The police department and the coroner’s office did not immediately release further details about the attack or her death.
