Strong winds topple trees, cut power in Byram

Strong winds knocked down multiple trees and damaged power lines in Byram on Saturday, Byram police said.

The trees fell across roadways and on power lines, creating hazardous travel conditions, police said.

Emergency crews and Entergy crews were working to restore power and remove the downed trees, Byram police said.

Byram police urged residents to use caution while traveling on roadways.
