Trump approves individual assistance for 36 Mississippi counties

President Donald Trump approved Individual Assistance for 36 Mississippi counties after a Jan. 23-27 winter storm, Gov. Tate Reeves, R-Miss., announced, WJTV reported.

Reeves said Individual Assistance was approved for Adams, Alcorn, Attala, Benton, Bolivar, Calhoun, Carroll, Claiborne, Coahoma, DeSoto, Grenada, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lee, Leflore, Marshall, Montgomery and Panola counties, among others, WJTV reported.

Reeves had requested the assistance for counties affected by the storm, the station said. The approval makes federal aid available to individuals in the designated areas, Reeves said, according to WJTV.

The announcement was reported by WJTV in Jackson, Miss.
