HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. — Two people were killed Sunday afternoon after a plane crashed near the airport in the Holly Springs area, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s officials said the aircraft went down around 5 p.m. near the airport on Bishop Road, close to Bicycle Road. Authorities confirmed there were two fatalities as a result of the crash.
The cause of the crash has not been released. The Holly Springs area remains under investigation, and additional details are expected as the inquiry continues.
No further information was immediately available Sunday evening.
