Two people wanted in Maryland on kidnapping charges were arrested in Columbia, Mississippi, Columbia police said.
On April 11, 2026, officers initiated a traffic stop for a speeding violation, Columbia police said.
During the stop, officers identified the driver as Celso Galvez Morales, who was wanted in Maryland, and arrested him, the department said. Columbia police said a second person was also taken into custody.
