JACKSON, Miss. — The University of Mississippi Medical Center said Friday that its clinics will remain closed statewide Feb. 23-24 after a cyberattack struck the system on Feb. 19, UMMC said.
UMMC said its teams are continuing to respond to the incident alongside federal and state agencies and national cybersecurity experts, according to the hospital.
The clinic closures affect locations across the state, the hospital said. UMMC issued the notice in a statement reported by WJTV.
UMMC did not provide additional details about the scope of the attack or a timeline for restoring normal clinic operations in the statement, the report said.
