Wildfire burns 3,000 acres in Carroll County; 40 percent contained, Reeves says
Crews are working to contain a wildfire in Carroll County, Mississippi, WJTV reported. Gov. Tate Reeves, R-Miss., said aerial surveys showed the blaze encompassed about 3,000 acres and was 40 percent contained.
Reeves said there have been no reports of injuries so far, WJTV reported.
The Mississippi Forestry Commission and Carroll County Fire Services are among the agencies responding to the fire, WJTV said. Officials continued suppression efforts on the ground and from the air, according to the report.
