Bondi, deputy meet privately with House Oversight on Epstein files
Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche held a closed-door meeting Wednesday with members of the House Oversight Committee to discuss files linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, lawmakers said.
The private session drew criticism from Democrats on the committee, who said the appearance did not land well with them.
Some Democrats said they were told about the meeting 24 hours in advance, according to committee members.
Bondi faces a subpoena from the committee, lawmakers said.
