D.C. lifts recreational advisory for Potomac River
Washington, D.C., lifted a recreational advisory for the Potomac River on Monday, Mayor Muriel Bowser said.
The advisory followed a large-scale sewage spill earlier this year, Bowser wrote in a Monday post on the social platform X.
“Consistent water quality testing shows bacterial levels are now within safe ranges for recreation,” Bowser wrote in the post.
Bowser also posted a reminder about swimming in rivers in the District, according to her post.
