The Justice Department dropped its probe into former President Donald Trump’s allegation that President Joe Biden and aides illegally used an autopen to sign official documents, multiple news outlets reported.
Those outlets said the inquiry was led by the U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., Jeanine Pirro’s office and was shelved after prosecutors were unable to build a criminal case, according to the reports.
The reports did not provide a timeline for when the investigation was opened or when it was closed, the outlets said.
