Kai Trump posts Augusta photos as Tiger Woods remains absent after arrest

Kai Trump, an 18-year-old amateur golfer and granddaughter of President Donald Trump, posted photos from Augusta National Golf Club on Instagram Thursday as Tiger Woods remained absent from the Masters following a recent arrest and treatment decision, court records and authorities said.

Trump’s Instagram post included a photo with LIV Golf’s Bryson DeChambeau and his caddie, Greg Bodine, and was captioned, “What a special place,” with a heart emoji, the post shows. The post also noted that she is set to take the next step in her golf career at Miami.

Woods was not at Augusta after a rollover crash in Florida late last month, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said. The sheriff’s office said Woods was traveling at a “high rate of speed” when his vehicle collided with another car and rolled onto the driver’s side, and that he “exemplified signs of impairment.” The agency said Woods blew “triple-zeroes” for alcohol and refused a urine test.

A sheriff’s department spokesperson said investigators conducted several roadside tests and took into account Woods’ explanation about prior injuries and surgeries. “DUI investigators came to the scene here, and Mr. Woods did exemplify signs of impairment,” the spokesperson said, according to the statement.

Woods later pleaded not guilty in the DUI case, court records show. A Florida judge allowed him to travel outside the U.S. to enter a “comprehensive inpatient treatment facility,” court records show. Tournament records show Woods has not recorded a top-20 finish in a major since winning the Masters in 2019 and has played sparingly in recent seasons.
