Neighbors Saw Carpet Removed; Resident Later Missing, ’48 Hours’ Reports

A couple watched a rolled-up carpet being carted out of a nearby home late at night and later learned that the resident was missing, “48 Hours” correspondent Peter Van Sant reports.

The witnesses said the carpet was removed from the house under cover of darkness, according to Van Sant.

The missing resident was described by the couple as combative, Van Sant reported. The neighbors learned of the person’s disappearance soon after observing the activity at the home.
