New Mexico jury finds Meta harmed children, violated state law
A New Mexico jury found that Meta harmed children’s mental health and safety and violated state law, jurors said.
Jurors concluded the company engaged in what the verdict described as “unconscionable” trade practices that unfairly took advantage of the vulnerabilities and inexperience of children, the jury said.
The jurors found there were thousands of violations, with each counted separately toward a penalty of $375 million, according to the verdict.
