Owner Says Oil Flow Resumes Through California Pipeline at Trump Order
Sable Offshore, the pipeline’s new owner, said it restarted the flow of oil through the California pipeline after fixing problems, the company said.
The company said the restart was carried out at the direction of the Trump administration.
A 2015 spill from the pipeline polluted Refugio State Beach, north of Goleta, California, and killed hundreds of birds and marine mammals, wildlife officials said. A 2015 file photo shows the spill.
