The Pentagon has canceled a press briefing scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday. The event was to feature Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Dan Caine.
The briefing was called off just 12 hours before a deadline set by the president. No reason for the cancellation was provided, and Pentagon officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The cancellation comes amid heightened attention on defense issues and upcoming decisions expected from the administration. It is unclear if the briefing will be rescheduled.
