Rep. Pat Ryan, D-N.Y., on Sunday accused President Trump of failing to look out for U.S. troops and said the president was not answering reporters’ questions at the White House, Ryan said on CNN.
Ryan, an Army veteran, made the remarks during an interview with Kaitlan Collins on CNN, according to the network.
Ryan said three U.S. service members have been killed during the operation against Iran, he told CNN.
The comments came as Ryan criticized the administration’s handling of the situation, Ryan said. He spoke about the issue while appearing on CNN with Collins.
