Reports: FBI director pushes to release files on Swalwell probe

The New York Times and The Washington Post reported that FBI Director Kash Patel is pushing to release files tied to an investigation of Rep. Eric Swalwell’s interactions with a suspected Chinese spy.

According to the reports, FBI agents and other personnel in California were directed to gather the records and redact sensitive information before any release.
