Teachers Say Student Behavior Worsened, Urge Parents to Do More

A majority of teachers say student behavior in the classroom has deteriorated and they want parents to do more, an Education Week survey released this month found.

The survey reported that 64% of teachers said classroom behavior had gotten worse over the past year, according to Education Week.

Teachers told the survey their No. 1 solution is smaller class sizes. More than 60 educators named smaller classes as the top fix, the survey said.

The survey said teachers also offered other suggestions for addressing behavior, but did not specify those proposals in the summary released this month.
