Trump says ICE will help at airports ‘for as long as it takes’
President Donald Trump said Sunday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will help with airport security “for as long as it takes,” as passengers complained of longer wait times amid the partial government shutdown.
Trump made the remark Sunday, saying ICE agents would be deployed to assist at airports, according to a White House statement.
Earlier Sunday, White House border czar Tom Homan said ICE would assist at airports, the White House said.
Passengers have complained of longer lines and delays at airports during the partial government shutdown, the White House statement said.
