President Donald Trump said Sunday night that he was OK with a Russian oil tanker delivering crude to Cuba, reporters aboard Air Force One said. The comment appeared to confirm a New York Times report that the United States would allow the shipment.
Allowing the tanker would effectively relax a U.S. blockade that the New York Times said has plunged the island into an energy crisis, the newspaper reported.
Reporters aboard Air Force One asked Trump about the New York Times report that the tanker, filled with crude, would be permitted to reach the island, according to the reporters.
