Utah jury convicts woman who wrote children’s book on grief in husband’s fentanyl death
A Utah jury convicted Kouri Richins of killing her husband by spiking his drink with fentanyl in 2022, prosecutors said.
Prosecutors noted that Richins had written a children’s book about grief and presented evidence that she stood to gain from insurance payouts, according to court statements.
Prosecutors told jurors that Richins sought to collect millions of dollars from multiple life insurance policies, the prosecutors said.
