Vance says U.S. strikes on Iran would not spark wider Middle East war

Vice President Vance on Thursday defended the idea of U.S. military strikes on Iran, telling The Washington Post there was “no chance” they would lead to a longer war in the Middle East.

Vance said the strikes would serve as a deterrent to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, he told the newspaper.

He defended the option during the interview with The Washington Post, the newspaper reported.
