Walz to attend ‘No Kings’ rally in Minneapolis after Trump administration enforcement operation

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a Democrat, said Thursday he will attend a “No Kings” rally in Minneapolis this weekend, citing federal immigration enforcement activity in the city earlier this year, Walz told MS NOW’s Chris Hayes.

“We will never forget what happened here and we’re taking action against it,” Walz said, according to the interview with MS NOW’s Chris Hayes.

The announcement comes after a Trump administration immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis earlier this year. Walz did not provide additional details about the actions he said were under way during the interview.

Walz spoke about the rally and the earlier enforcement operation in remarks to MS NOW’s Chris Hayes on Thursday. He said he planned to attend the event this weekend in Minneapolis.
