Ole Miss Journalism school to undergo name change after donors post brings negative attention

The Mississippi Institure of Higher Learning has voted to remove prominent Ole Miss donor Ed Meek’s name from the School of Journalism and New Media after a consent vote this morning. No word yet on what the school will be renamed.

The move comes after Meek made what many believed to be a racially insensitive Facebook post. The post was deleted but not before going viral on social media and causing outrage among a large partion of the University community.
