MOBILE, Ala. — The Toppers opened Southern States Athletic Conference play Friday in Mobile, falling in both games of a doubleheader to the University of Mobile Rams, 12-2 and 12-6, according to box scores.
Mobile took the opener 12-2 in a scheduled seven-inning game, the box score shows.
The Rams secured the nightcap 12-6 in a nine-inning contest, according to the box score.
