Blue Mountain Police make arrest and contact ICE involving drugs, weapon charges

BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Blue Mountain police have arrested a suspect on multiple weapons and drug-related charges, according to Police Chief Chris Joshlin.

Joshlin said the arrest was made on Aug. 9, 2025, and the suspect was booked the same day into the Tippah County Jail. The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Kevin Ponce-Ulloa, is being held on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer.

According to jail records, Ponce-Ulloa was booked at 10:29 p.m. and is being held without bond.
