County road crews working on several roads this week

Road crews in Tippah County are working on numerous roads throughout the county this week, patching potholes and putting down pavement on whole sections of roads.

Off of Highway 2 today, a road crew was working on long stretches of a county road while the weather is cooperating.

“This stuff will be kind of tacky for a few days, but once you drive on it a while it will smooth out,” a county road worker told us.

In the meantime, the roads could be hard to navigate and could potentially cause damage to vehicles. Drive slowly and use caution while traveling them and take caution for the road crew workers.
