Damaging winds possible tonight with likelihood of freezing temps starting Friday

A cold front is moving in through the area that could cause damaging winds, severe storms and freezing temps.

From the NWS:

There is a Marginal Risk for severe thunderstorms across the area today through tonight. Damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall will be the main threats with the greatest risk of severe weather across northeast Mississippi.

Low temperatures near or below freezing will be possible Friday through Sunday. Confidence is trending upward on a possible freeze Friday morning through the weekend.

A large section of North Mississippi is under a freeze watch.
