Falkner Heritage Museum to Host Founders Day Fall Celebration and Classic Car Show

FALKNER, Miss. – The Falkner Mississippi Heritage Museum will host its Founders Day Fall Celebration and Classic Car Show on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heritage Park in Old Downtown Falkner.

The day-long celebration will feature a variety of activities for the whole community, including a car show, quilt expo, yard sales, raffles, food, and a special groundbreaking ceremony.

Classic Car Show
Car enthusiasts can enjoy a wide range of vehicles on display from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entry is open to vehicles of all ages, with a $20 donation per entry. Car show trophies will be awarded at 1 p.m.

Groundbreaking Ceremony
At 10 a.m., the museum will hold a groundbreaking for the new FMHM Community Center/Museum construction site, marking an important milestone in the organization’s growth.

Quilt Expo
The Cooper Hill Schoolhouse will host a Quilt Expo from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., where participants are encouraged to display heirloom, vintage, or original creations.

Yard Sales and Vendors
Crafts and yard sale vendors are welcome to set up from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a $20 per space fee, encouraging attendees to “clean out those closets and storage.”

Food and Raffles
Food vendors will serve sandwiches, drinks, chips, and sweet treats throughout the day.

  • A quilt raffle will be held at 12 noon with tickets priced at $20 each or six for $100.
  • A $1,000 cash raffle will also take place at noon, with tickets at the same price.
