Grand Larceny Arrest Made Following Tupelo Construction Site Theft

Tupelo, Miss. – Tupelo Police have apprehended a suspect in connection with a recent theft from a construction site on Plant Drive, according to a statement released today.
On May 28, 2024, officers from the Tupelo Police Department responded to reports of stolen tools and fuel tanks from the construction site. Following a thorough investigation, authorities arrested William Poteet, 41, of Shannon, on June 19, 2024. Poteet faces charges of Grand Larceny in relation to the incident, marking the second arrest made in connection with this ongoing investigation.
Poteet was presented before Tupelo Municipal Court for his initial hearing, during which Judge Evans set his bond at $20,000.00.
