Supreme Court rules online businesses must collect sales tax

Supreme Court says states can force online shoppers to pay sales tax, a 5-4 ruling overturning an old case requiring physical presence in the state before states could impose taxes on out-of-state seller.

This is a huge blow to online only businesses and consumers but will benefit local governments and traditional brick and mortar retailers.
