Threat at Walnut Attendance Center Baseless

The North Tippah School District addressed rumors of a threat at Walnut on Wednesday and posted the following on their Facebook page on Thursday evening:

“On Wednesday there was a report of a message of a possible threat to Walnut Attendance Center. The administration immediately responded and launched an investigation. Following the investigation, we believe there was no immediate or imminent danger, nor do we feel the threat was credible. The Walnut administration has been in communication with local PD. At this point the situation is a disciplinary issue and is being addressed. As always, school safety is our number one priority.”
