Two Dead in Holly Springs Shootings; Suspect Wanted for Murder

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – Authorities are searching for Darian Montrell McKinnsey, who is wanted for murder following two deadly shootings in Holly Springs early Saturday morning.

According to the Holly Springs Police Department, officers responded to a shooting at the Circle K in the 600 block of Highway 7 South at approximately 5:55 a.m. on August 9, 2025. Upon arrival, they found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The man died at the scene. Witnesses reported the suspects fleeing in a small white SUV.

Shortly afterward, officers were called to a single-car accident on West Boundary Street between West Valley Street and West Woodward Avenue. Inside the vehicle, they discovered a female shooting victim in the back seat who had also died from her injuries.

The Holly Springs Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Task Force are jointly investigating.
