Businesses closing, school events cancelled ahead of likely severe weather

Several Tippah county businesses are closing and local school functions will be postponed due to the threat of inclement weather coming through the area this evening. 

Some of the closing include Bishops BBQ, which had this to say:

Due to inclement weather that is predicted for tonight, Bishops BBQ will be closing at 6 tonight. This will be for all of our locations. Always Peace, Love, and BBQ!

All after school events, including the beauty vevue scheduled for tonight at ripley, have been postponed. The Beauty Revue will take place tomorrow evening at 6:30.

Local sporting events, inlcuding at the Ripley Park TCYFL and junior basketball games, are also postponed.
