A Mississippi Department of Corrections prisoner who escaped custody yesterday was located in Benton County today, according to a release from the agency.

CAPTURED: House arrest prisoner Darrell Harper in Benton County today
Harper, MDOC #211577, had escaped the Noxubee County Transitional Center on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old was being housed at the center in Macon after violating the terms of his house arrest. He was convicted in 2017 of two counts of residential burglary in Benton County and received five years to serve and two years’ probation.
