If you are from Mississippi, you can relate to this music video

Stop me if you’ve heard this one: it’s taboo to have a few and you’ll get talked about, but sure enough when the moon comes up, they’ll pull that shine on out. 

That’s in the opening verse from Prentiss County singer/songwriter Chance Stanley’s country twanged view of Southern Life in a county where alcohol is prohibited, or ‘Dry’. 

The song, recorded by Baldwyn’s Six Shooter Studios, is built around a tap your foot musical number with a lighthearted lyrical take on small town southern gossip.

With scenery that includes Norma Jo’s beauty shop, the local church complete with bake sale and a view into grandma enjoying a cold one in the secrecy of her home, the music video underscores real musical talent on Stanley’s part. Check out the video below.
