The National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee, said a heat advisory remains in effect through 8 p.m. and that another advisory will begin at noon tomorrow.
The office said additional heat headlines are likely to be issued throughout the week.
The National Weather Service urged residents to practice heat safety and to check on sensitive groups, the office said.
