First day of election qualifying sees several Tippah Countians announce election bid

Several Tippah County residents announced that they are running for both local and statewide office on the first day they were eligible to do so.

A few of the ones are listed below.

If you are running for an office and want to be added to the list, contact us.

Jody Steverson (State Rep)

Happy New Year! 2019 is an election year, and I am seeking re-election as your State Representative. Since 2012, I have had the experience of a lifetime serving the people of Tippah County, the place my family has called home for almost 200 years.

Thank you for the privilege of serving and working on your behalf in the Mississippi House of Representatives. I am truly grateful for your support, trust, encouragement, and friendship.

Nathan Stroupe, Sheriff

Today is the first day of election season here in Tippah County. I am a candidate for Sheriff. There will be many speakings and events before the first election August 6th. I urge everyone to come to the local speakings to hear what your candidate has to say about the office they are running for. Most of all I ask you to vote. I hope over the next 8 months I have the opportunity to meet as many of you as I can. If any of you have a question please call or text me at 662-587-3551. I humbly and earnestly ask for your vote and support. Thank you all, Nathan Stroupe

Tommy Garret, North Half Judge

Little early, but me and my Family will soon be out starting our campaign for North Half Judge, we appreciate your help and vote in the upcoming year and look forward to seeing you all, thanks
