Severe storms with damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes possible today

Weather forecasts are pointing towards the possibility for severe weather on Thursday. Timing begins in the early afternoon hours.

From the National Weather Service:

A flash flood watch is in effect for the entire Midsouth today. Heavy rainfall may lead to both river and flash flooding.

There is a chance for severe thunderstorms this afternoon into the early evening hours for locations along and south of a Charleston, Mississippi to Savannah, Tennessee line. Primary threat is damaging winds. Secondary threats are brief tornadoes and large hail.
