Ripley’s Molly Lewellen set to dance for local Boys and Girls Club

On August 24th, Molly Lewellen of Tippah County will be competing in “Dancing Like The Stars” at the Bancorp South Arena. Molly is a well-known and active member of the community and decided to participate in this event to help raise funds for The Boys & Girls Club of North Mississippi.

“In 2016, Shad Spight represented Ripley AND WON and I was like, this is super fun. I want to dance! But even more, I want to do something for our community,” Lewellen stated.

The Boys & Girls Clubs’ mission is to help youth of all backgrounds, with special concern for those from disadvantaged circumstances (social, economic, educational, physical, cultural, etc.) develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders. It has been in existence since 1996 and has helped thousands of children. According to Molly Lewellen, the Boys & Girls Club of North Mississippi has not had a teen pregnancy in over nine years and has a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Lewellen’s dance partner is Andrew Davis and they will be dancing the Jive to a fun remix. The link below can be used to make donations, order tickets, and more.
