Pine Grove High school was ranked among the top 5 sports programs in the state of Mississippi in 1A according to the Clarion Ledger’s All Sports ranking.
The Panthers were bolstered by a girls state basketball title and a north half apperance by the softball team as well as playoff appearances in both baseball, boys basketball and slow pitch softball.
The top 10 1A programs were:
1. Tupelo Christian Preparatory School – 350.5
2. Sacred Heart – 213
3. Resurrection – 136.5
4. Myrtle – 120
5. Pine Grove – 113.5
6. Biggersville – 111.5
7. Smithville – 109
8. Hamilton – 107.5
9. Hickory Flat – 105.5
10. Simmons – 100.5
